Shannon Leggieri, DVM, MS
Veterinarian & Owner
Dr. Leggieri graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. After practicing in Marin for two years, she joined Claremont Veterinary Hospital in 2016. She has a special interest in dentistry, dermatology, and toxicology. She is passionate about private practice ownership and enjoys working with several Oakland-based rescue groups. She lives locally with her husband (Mike), daughter (Sophia), and son (Henry). Her family also includes two Labradors, Bianca and Winston Churchill.
Maayan McDonald, DVM
Veterinarian & Owner
Dr. McDonald graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing at Claremont Veterinary Hospital since 2017. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is strengthening the human-animal bond. She has a special interest in feline medicine, dentistry, and geriatric medicine. She lives in Oakland with her family that includes her husband (Stephen), two human children, two dogs (Cosmo and Bertie), and two cats (Flora and Pluto). When she’s not working, she likes to explore Bay Area hiking trails and read fiction.
Dori Eger, VMD
Dr. Eger graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. She joined Claremont Veterinary Hospital in 1994 after working at Bay Area Pet Hospital in Oakland. She enjoys soft tissue surgery, as well as multiple sub-specialties including internal medicine, endocrinology, ophthalmology, and dermatology. She lives locally with her husband (Craig), dogs (Lulu and Buster), and her cat (Buddha).
Naomi Feinn, DVM
Dr. Feinn had two passions growing up: art and animals. She moved to the Bay Area from the midwest to pursue fine arts at the California College of the Arts, just down the street from Claremont Veterinary Hospital. Later, she attended UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing at Claremont Veterinary Hospital since 1997. Dr. Feinn enjoys all aspects of internal medicine with a special interest in endocrinology. She currently lives with two amazing dogs, Fiona and Manny.
Melissa Rothstein, DVM
Dr. Rothstein graduated from UC Davis and worked in Alameda before joining Claremont Veterinary Hospital in the fall of 2020. She’s very excited to join the team! Her special interests include behavior, fear-free practice, nutrition, and shelter medicine. She lives in Oakland with her dog (Kodiak) and two cats (Hazel and Herbert). In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, painting, and attempting to keep some indoor plants alive.
Lee M. Morris, DVM, MS
Dr. Lee Morris attended Colorado State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in biology, a Master of Science in animal science, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1977. In August of 1981, Dr. Morris re-opened the San Francisco Pet Hospital and later sold the practice in 2018. He stayed on as a practicing veterinarian and consultant to the new owners until December 2019. In May 2020, he joined the staff of Claremont Veterinary Hospital to continue his love of the practice and mentoring. He is most interested in the challenge of solving complicated medical problems and educating clients about their pet’s medical issues. He lives in Oakland with his wife, Kate, and three dogs, Fern, Clark, and Flick. Dr. Morris has a passion for skiing. He skis in Lake Tahoe and Canada during winter and loves to travel to Argentina to ski in the summer.
Jennifer Tacy, RVT
Jennifer is the hospital manager and joined the Claremont Veterinary Hospital team in June of 2020. She previously managed San Francisco Pet Hospital, where she was for nearly 21 years. She has been a licensed registered veterinary technician since 2005. She really enjoys helping people by helping their pets. She has three fun-loving cats. Milton and Briggs, a silly sister-and-brother pair whom she raised as kittens, and her newest edition, Chickie, a beautiful Torti with lots of personalities.
