Shannon Leggieri, DVM, MS

Dr. Leggieri graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. After practicing in Marin County for two years, she joined Claremont Veterinary Hospital in 2016. Her special interests include dentistry, dermatology, and toxicology. She is passionate about private practice ownership and enjoys working with several Oakland-based rescue groups. She lives locally with her husband, Mike; daughter, Sophia, and son, Henry. Her family also includes two Labradors, Bianca and Winston Churchill.
Maayan McDonald, DVM
Veterinarian & Owner
Dr. McDonald graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing at Claremont Veterinary Hospital since 2017. Her favorite part of being a veterinarian is strengthening the human-animal bond. She has a special interest in feline medicine, dentistry, and geriatric medicine. She lives in Oakland with her family, including her husband, Stephen; two human children; two dogs, Cosmo and Bertie, and two cats, Flora and Pluto. When she’s not working, she likes to explore Bay Area hiking trails and read fiction.
Dori Eger, VMD
Dr. Eger graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. She joined Claremont Veterinary Hospital in 1994 after working at Bay Area Pet Hospital in Oakland. She enjoys soft tissue surgery, as well as multiple sub-specialties including internal medicine, endocrinology, ophthalmology, and dermatology. She lives locally with her husband, Craig; two dogs, Lulu and Buster, and her cat, Buddha.
Naomi Feinn, DVM
Dr. Feinn had two passions growing up: art and animals. She moved to the Bay Area from the Midwest to pursue fine arts at the California College of the Arts, just down the street from Claremont Veterinary Hospital. Later, she attended UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing at Claremont Veterinary Hospital since 1997. Dr. Feinn enjoys all aspects of internal medicine with a special interest in endocrinology. She currently lives with her amazing little dog, Manny.
Arie Kapoor, DVM
Dr. Kapoor graduated from the University of Missouri’s College of Veterinary Medicine and has been practicing at Claremont Veterinary Hospital since 2022. After many years of working around large animals, he found joy in working with our smaller companion animals. He has a special interest in soft tissue surgery and canine sports medicine. He lives in Oakland with his spouse, Danielle, and their two golden retrievers, Figo and Gary. His hobbies include watching/playing soccer and running around with his dogs.
